The Beginning
The journey of Arja Agri & Spices Pvt. Ltd. began in 1981, with the vision of our founder’s father, Rajkaran Pugalia.

Identifying the Gap
During his travels, he identified a critical gap in the local food ecosystem. Small, home based and unorganised units producing papad, bhujia, and namkeen were rapidly growing, yet they lacked access to consistent, high-quality black pepper a key ingredient that defined taste and aroma.
He began sourcing the finest black pepper from South India, North India, and international origins, personally visiting small scale industries one by one to understand their exact needs.
Over nearly Four decades of hands-on trading experience, he gained deep insight into how variations in size, aroma, and processing directly affected the final product.
